Biomedics 55 Evolution is the new variant of the classic Biomedics 55 lens. These lenses aren't exactly the same as they were: among other things, they're aspherical – which means that they help the eye to even out an irregularity known as astigmatism. (If you're not slightly astigmatic – which most people are without being aware of it – these lenses will sto work just as well.)
You can switch to Evolution from your old standard Biomedics 55 lenses without necessarily having to have your lenses refitted, but a visit to the optician is never a bad thing and so we recommend that you either phone or visit your optician before upgrading to Evolution.
