Toric/Astigmatism lenses – the facts
Besides correcting shortsightedness and longsightedness, toric lenses work for astigmatism as well, known as error of refraction. Error of refraction is an irregularity in the eye which makes your vision blurry.
When you order toric lenses from us, you also have to specify the Axis and Cylinder parameters. These parameters can be found on your old lens pack – or else ask your optician.
Focus Dailies Torics are daily disposable lenses, i.e. you use a new pair every day.
Purevision Torics are continuous wear lenses and so can be worn round the clock for up to a month at a time.
The others are monthly lenses, which have to be removed every night, cleaned and then put back in in the morning. Monthly lenses have to be discarded after a month and replaced with a new pair.
